“Stop trying to fix your body. It was never broken.” — Eve Ensler

Body Positivity aims to challenge unrealistic ideals of physical attractiveness, to build a positive body image & improve self-confidence. A common misconception is that beauty is a construct of society. This construct should not determine one's confidence or self-worth. Individuals are encouraged to love themselves to the fullest while accepting their physical traits. Body Positivity argues that all body types can & should be celebrated. Although body positivity is perceived as the celebration of one's physical appearance, women are highly motivated to advocate the normalization of body hairbodily fluidsmenstruation, & to challenge preconceived ideas regarding a woman's appearance.

“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect

imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.”― Steve Maraboli
